Poly Aluminum Chloride

Industrial Name : Poly Aluminum Chloride | PAC (Poly Aluminum Chloride)

Chemical formula : AL2 (OH) n CI6

Other names : Hydrated Aluminum Chloride

Polyaluminum Chloride Paint: Polyaluminum chloride is available in both liquid and solid forms. Solid polyaluminum chloride is in the form of powder or crystal and its color is from milky white to bold yellow in different grades.

The coagulation process has a special place in the refining industry. Aluminum sulfate (alum) and chlorophyll are the most common primary coagulants used in water treatment to remove turbidity.

In recent years, Poly Aluminum Chloride – abbreviated PAC – has been widely used as a replacement for the two old coagulants, aluminum sulfate and chlorophyll. Polyaluminum chloride (PAC) is now one of the most common coagulants used in water and wastewater treatment in countries such as Canada, the United States, China, Italy, France and the United Kingdom. In Iran, many industries have used this substance as an alternative to old coagulants.

Applications of polyaluminum chloride:

1.Wastewater and effluent treatment of chemical plants and oil and petrochemical industries

2.Use in paper and cellulose industries

3.Municipal wastewater treatment

4.Use in textile, leather and leather industries

5.Treatment of agricultural wastewater and effluent

6.Purification of drinking water
